1. I have read the Northfields Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, including arrangements for safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
2. I have read the entirety of KCSIE 2025 (Keeping Children Safe in Education), including: Part Two – The Management of Safeguarding (statutory for governors and proprietors) Annex B – Further information on specific safeguarding issues
3. Having read the above guidance, I understand my strategic leadership and oversight role as part of the Governing Body, ensuring that safeguarding arrangements are effective, and that staff and volunteers comply with statutory requirements at all times.
4. I am aware of who the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy DSL(s) are.
5. I know how to report concerns if I am worried about the wellbeing or safety of a pupil, and how to escalate concerns if safeguarding issues are not being managed appropriately.
6. I know that safeguarding policies and further guidance are available on the school website and on the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning (HGfL).
