Ofsted and Performance Data

What has improved since our last inspection

Since our inspection in May 2024, we have worked quickly to strengthen the areas identified for development. Our teaching in English and mathematics has become more consistent, with teachers making better use of formative assessment to address misconceptions and raise expectations for all pupils. This has already led to stronger progress in writing, a priority for the school, and greater confidence in maths.

We have also refined our approach to supporting pupils with SEND. Staff are now using a wider range of adaptations and resources to help pupils record their learning independently, building their confidence and reducing lost learning time. Alongside this, we have introduced sharper systems for checking how well pupils learn across the curriculum, ensuring our high expectations are applied in every subject. Governors have strengthened their role in monitoring this progress, holding leaders to account more precisely and supporting the pace of change.

Parent View is an online questionnaire that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time. It is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views about their child’s school to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.

The questionnaire can be accessed directly from the Parent View site.
