After School Club Application
Northfields Infants provides out of school hours care for all full time Northfields School children, in a safe, happy environment, supervised by professional, experienced staff. The varied program includes arts, sports, recreational and educational activities. See below for our provisional timetable.
Children are supervised by Northfields Staff at all times during after school club hours.
If we reach capacity, a waiting list will be put into action, priority will then be given to:
- children with siblings already at Northfields
- working parents.
To secure your child(ren)’s space, we will require a £5 deposit. Which will be deducted from your first half-term’s invoice.
£7.50 per session 3:15 to 5:00pm including a healthy snack.
Please note that the After School Club closes at 5pm sharp. Any parents picking up after 5pm will receive a penalty charge of £3 per 15 minutes.
For sickness, you will be credited with the amount of sessions missed, however for non-attendance, we will not be able to offer a refund.
We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel a session; otherwise, full payment will be charged.
Payment can be made in the following ways: –
- Childcare Vouchers
- Arbor parent portal app
- Cheque or Cash (Cheques made payable to Northfields Infants School)
Collecting your child
Children must be collected from the main office reception area at the end of the afternoon session.
If anyone other than a parent will be picking up your child, please let Mr Dell/Member of the after-school club or the office know in advance.
You are welcome to collect your child earlier than 5pm, however the cost remains the same.
Contact & medical details
All contact and medical details will be taken from the school database please ensure these are kept up to date.
Sickness, accidents, first aid and emergencies
If a child becomes ill during a session every attempt will be made to contact one of the people listed on the emergency contact details held by the school. The child will be cared for until collected.
Medication will not normally be given to children unless by prior arrangement with the Head teacher, supported by a completed MED1 form which is available from the school office.
In case of a minor accident, basic First Aid will be administered.
In case of an accident requiring more than basic First Aid, every attempt will be made to contact the parent/legal guardian to advise or discuss with him/her the course of action to be taken.
Signing this agreement gives permission for first aid trained staff at Northfields to act ‘in loco parentis’. If the parent/legal guardian cannot be contacted in time, Northfields will invoke that authority to take action to gain appropriate medical treatment for the child.
All accidents and emergencies are entered in the Accident Book.
Northfields cannot accept any child to attend a session, unless a completed, digitally signed agreement form is submitted by the parent/legal guardian.
Any misbehaviour, other than that of a trivial nature, will be reported to the child’s parent and to either the Headteacher or Deputy Head.
If the child’s misbehaviour continues and has a detrimental effect upon the club, an official written warning concerning the child’s behaviour will be given to the parent/guardian.
If a second warning should become necessary the child will be excluded from the club for a period of time to be determined by the School.
The After-school club will abide by relevant school policies, which are available to view from the school office.
Termination of Agreement
If you wish to terminate the contract, we will require a half-term’s notice.
