About the Roles

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working people with high expectations of themselves and the pupils they work with, to join our school team as 1:1 SEN teaching assistants.

There are two roles, both are fixed term, with no end date, until the children leave the school or until funding changes or ceases, whichever is sooner. One role is in Foundation Stage, one role in KS1.

The Foundation Stage role is based in The Den. The role is to work with a child with complex SEND needs, severe learning difficulties, social and communication difficulties and Autism. Previous experience of children with special needs (especially pre-verbal and Autism) would be an advantage. The role is from 8.45am – 3.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only with an hour’s unpaid lunch.

Pay scale for the role is H1 –H2, dependent on experience. The role starts as soon as possible. The KS1 role is based in class. The role is to work with a child with social and communication difficulties, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Previous experience of children with mental health difficulties and associated behaviours would be beneficial. The role if from 1pm – 3.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only. Pay scale for the role is H1 –H2, dependent on experience. The role starts as soon as possible.
